Beetag with Leeds Met Faculty URL

The field of augmented reality is close related to the field of computer vision technology and depending on the tracking method also applying marker-based tracking. These markers consist mainly of 2D matrix codes providing the reference for position of the virtual object in the real environment.

Another field that uses matrix codes / bar codes mainly as a physical world connection (PWC) or as a "door" for e.g. mobile devices to the internet is mobile tagging. A well known and popular code used and assisted by different Code Generators and Readers is the QR Code.

Just for fun I also were snooping around in this field a bit and found beside:

Semacode, Shotcode, Aztec, Upcode etc. the nice BeeTagg Code. Its nice design looks like honeycombs.

For testing I generated the following Beetagg Code of the WebSite of the "Centre for Creative Technology"of Leeds Metropolitan University and tried it with the BeeTagg Reader installed on my HTC TyTN.

Really works fine.
